Where we are · Where we're going

From DevNet-complete to MainNet-unstoppable.

ShardKeep's core architecture — the Bastion network, cNFT shard maps, operator blindness, Shamir splitting — is already live on DevNet. The roadmap below is the path to MainNet and the protocol layer beyond.

Live on DevNet

Core protocol & client architecture

Shamir K-of-N splitting, PBKDF2-SHA256 + AES-256-GCM edge encryption, WebCrypto integration, wallet-based auth, and session JWTs issued by Wardens.

Bastion network — DevNet

Warden/Bastion/Sentry nodes running in production on DevNet, with heartbeats, availability challenges, shard distribution, and health scoring.

Browser extension v1.1.6

End-to-end client for DevNet vaults. Wallet sign-in, Shamir splitting, ciphertext upload, recovery, and clipboard-safe autofill.

cNFT shard maps on Solana (Track A)

Compressed NFT shard maps live on Solana DevNet via Bubblegum + Helius DAS. Operators provably cannot see shard locations after mint. E2E verified.

April 2026 · DevNet

Operator blindness

Every Bastion sees the same thing: opaque blobs, timestamps, and challenge nonces. Vaults, users, and content are indistinguishable from the server side.

Portable admin portal & operator onboarding funnel

Public inquiry form, admin review queue, DevNet airdrop workflow, apply-as-operator form, and full operator lifecycle UI.

Under active development

Now

Public website & developer story

This site. Built to be portable and deployable to any server with zero shared dependencies — you're reading the result right now.

Tokenomics v3.2 finalization

Reward floor/ceiling, auto-stake conversion for points, 5% subscription inflow to the Insurance Pool, and five-tier subscription structure.

Founding operator cohort

First wave of Wardens and Bastions onboarding to DevNet. Applications open via the inquiry form. Discord onboarding + DevNet-SHRD airdrop.

Security audit preparation

Hardening the contract & client surface for external audit — the hard prerequisite for MainNet deployment.

Planned

Next

External security audit

Professional audit of the Solana program, client crypto, and Bastion protocol. Results published in full. No audit, no MainNet.

MainNet Merkle tree & cNFT migration

Create the MainNet Bubblegum tree, switch RPC endpoints, monitor for two weeks, then deprecate the DevNet node_id shadow column.

Token generation event (TGE) & DEX liquidity

SHRD hits the chain with 400M genesis supply. Liquidity locked in DEX pools (40M SHRD allocated). Insurance Pool seeded.

MainNet operator bonding

Bonds paid in SHRD; Wardens, Bastions, Sentries go live with real stake. Slashing enforced on-chain.

Paid subscription tiers (Knight — Queen)

On-chain SHRD billing for all paid subscriptions. Unlocks the full feature ladder: 2FA Backup Wallet and weekly shard rotation (Knight), daily rotation and dark web monitoring (Bishop), household sharing with 6 seats (Rook), multi-sig team vaults, dead-man's switch, breach insurance and unlimited vault storage (Queen).

Research & horizon

Later

Blind rotation (Track D)

On-chain shard rotation via a Solana program, eliminating the 5–10 second server exposure window that exists during server-coordinated rotation. In R&D; does not block Track A.

Native mobile clients

iOS and Android clients. Wallet integration via Mobile Wallet Adapter. Biometric unlock, offline read, secure autofill.

Hardware wallet integration

Ledger & Trezor signing for vault auth — move the wallet key out of the browser entirely.

Cross-chain recovery map

Solana is the anchor today; future chain support lets users pick their cNFT substrate. Always composable, always portable.

DAO governance

Protocol parameter changes (reward floor/ceiling, fee markup, Insurance Pool size) move to on-chain governance once the token is broadly distributed.
